Description
Essentially the concept is to take modern architecture with its simple/minimal aesthetic and design/destroy it with a punk, anti-design, destructive style. I want to take the “want to destroy” attitude of the punk/skate culture and infuse it into a design style that has none of it (modern architecture). I like the dichotomy of simplicity vs. crazy, or beauty vs. destruction and why something that is destroyed isn’t called beautiful while perfection is praised.
Deliverables
Book with Multiple Interactions
Destroyed things have a story behind them while something perfect might not. Scars equal stories, dents capture moments in time, scratches are a show of character. Destruction encapsules your feelings in that moment in time. Destroyed things have personality and that story behind destroyed things makes them interesting. Here’s a bit of the thinking behind this project and development of the piece shown in this process book.
